Windaba 2014: 03-05 Nov2014 Cape Town, South Africa Organised by GWEC, SAWEA

Windaba is South Africa's premier conference and exhibition jointly organised by SAWEA and GWEC. Windaba 2014 will take place in Cape Town from 3-5 November 2014.

This year's conference - with the theme "Power2thePeople" - will focus on the socio-economic challenges faced by the sector as well as the benefits of wind power to the greater South Africa and its communities - within the context of wind farms that are now commissioned and providing electricity. KEYWIND 2014: 05-08 Nov 2014 Rimini, Italy

In a bid to initiate capacity building, augment awareness and promote information dissemination FOWIND project team is organising one day sensitization workshops for stakeholders (the government –policy makers and regulators, wind power industry, power sector utility, project developers and financing community etc.) of offshore wind power in India. These workshops aim to introduce different aspects of offshore wind power development with its competitiveness to the stakeholders and also seek to identify the development constraints and challenges in the states of Gujarat and Tamil Nadu and also at a national level.

The objectives of these workshops caters to the vital functional units responsible for the development of offshore wind power in India like global overview of technology, Global policy, regulations and incentive, Offshore wind power initiatives by Government of India, Development challenges for offshore wind in India, Industry perspectives on offshore wind development and Potential investor's perspective.

The workshops will be held on 9th, 11th and 12th September 2014 at Ahmedabad, Chennai and Delhi respectively.

14th International Training Programme on-WIND TURBINE TECHNOLOGY & APPLICATION 2014: 03-30 Sept 2014 Chennai, India.
